The eagerly awaited George Michael album Patience has had a good debut everywhere with the album debuting at No. 1 in England, ahead of Guns 'n' Roses Greatest Hits. In Australia, it was a photo finish with John Butler Trio winning by a nose. Australia didn't have the Gunners album to do battle with this week. Greatest Hits was officially released today in Australia and therefore won't debut until next Monday. We shall get an indication to have it is selling later in the week from the HMV midweek chart. John Butler Trio defied the odds to stay at number one this week after Sunrise Over Sea sold 14,826 copies compared to George Michael's Patience with 14,063. Pete Murray had the number three album in Australia. 'Feeler' sold a not too shabby 11,474. The
top 10 albums sold a total of 86,574 units this week compared to 93,074
last week. ©2004 Undercover Media Pty Ltd, March 22, 2004 ANNOUNCE YOUR TOUR OR CD WITH UNDERCOVER. CLICK TO FIND OUT HOW
