In December 1996, the National Library's Pictorial Collection acquired
a series of posters featuring the extraordinary landscape photographs
of the late Peter Dombrovskis. An artist with a great love of nature,
Dombrovskis is best remembered for his annual Tasmanian wilderness
calendars, which helped make the preservation of the Tasmanian forests
and woodlands popular as an environmental cause in the late 1970s and
the early 1980s.
