Huon Delta Studios- This studio ONLY records acoustic music! Run by Geoff Francis, it's a thoroughly professional
setup. It is at Pelverata (25 minutes from the centre of Hobart) Phone (03) 6266 3010. The studio offers sizeable discounts to anybody who's a member of their state folk federation.
Ramrod Studio- has been recently moved to Davidson, in Sydney's Northern Suburbs . A relaxed recording environment with classic analogue (24 tk MCI )
and digital ( Ensoniq Paris - 128 tk) recorders. Beautiful cedar and pine room gives a great sound! The studio's Herm Kovac has recently produced the Golden Guitar Award winning "Rose and Rodeo" for Brendon Walmsley to add to the list of great recordings coming out of the studio.

ABC2Win
This shareware program permits you to write out tunes
such as Irish folk tunes, print them, play them, store them and swap them
with other 'net users. There is a library of over 5000 tunes already on the
net.
Cool Edit
It's basically a
digital audio editor, but one of it's many functions allows you to record
music on to your hard disk (providing yu have a sound card!) and slow it
down without changing pitch. Great for learning tunes by ear!
