Rail Yards The whole Tasmanian community will be involved in this activity
to celebrate Federation and its Centenary. At 11.00 am a parade of some 29 floats
from municipalities from around the State will be headed by the Tasmanian State
float from the Sydney/Melbourne parade. There will be street theatre, competitions,
debates, theatre sports, Barber Shop Quartets, music and spoken word performances
throughout the day and at the concert presentation in the evening an entertainment
of song and dance performed by local musicians with a Tasmanian 20th century focus.
A highlight of the evening is a performance by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra

km cross country run, scenic 29km road cycle, and beautiful 4.9km lake paddle,
all set in a wonderful rainforest region of Western Tasmania. It will suit newcomers
and experienced tri athletes alike. Starts and finishes in the middle of the town.
The occasion will include festivities linking Tullah's own centenary to that
of Federation. It will include a community picnic which will include early forms
of entertainment including fun races, croquet, bowling hoops, marbles tournament,
horseshoe pitching and dancing on the green to a fiddler, penny whistle player

Stories from 100 Years is a community history project that aims to celebrate the
cultural history of Glenorchy's diverse population as well as commemorating Australia's
achievements since Federation through a focus on the everyday stories of the Glenorchy
community. It will invite simple stories/statements describing each year since
Federation in 1901 to the year 2001 from all sectors of the community. People
will be invited, through an entry form process, to pick a year and submit ten
lines or less which captures the essence of the story or event of that particular
