Andrew "AJ" Hulsman the all rounded
station Programs, music Coordinator, Producer, schedule, formatting,
traffic & production was terminated from Riverina Christian
Radio Inc and Wagga's Life FM after just 6 months on Wednesday
12/12 because they "decided to change the day to day running

Paul Richards is leaving David Koch's My Money
Group to replace Paul O'Connell editing and reading afternoons
and drive in the newsroom at 2GB from January 7.
Paul Kidd will join George Moore as co-host
on 2UE's summer weekend program.
Ian Rogerson will fill in for Richard Glover
on ABC 702 Drive during the
summer holidays.
Kim Beales replaces Ty Frost as Drive Announcer
and Assistant MD at Star FM
Albury.
Ron E Sparx will be doing summer weekends
on Nova 969 Sydney.
Another Brisbane Triple M jock is leaving
for Sydney. Jamie "Rowee" Row leaves drive. He'll be
joining Mikey Robbins and Amanda Keller for breakfast.
Lee "Bevo" Bevington is leaving
his weekend on air gig at Triple M Brisbane for a full time position
with Triple M Sydney as the new network middawn announcer.
Paula Hogg is the latest addition at online
news/information service Informatel On Line. Paula has been a
stalwart at 3RPH for 10 years and continues in her voluntary
capacity with that station, she also takes on News/Sport presentation
on a casual basis with Informatel.
Raphael Epstien is leaving Sydney ABC 702's
breakfast shift and will move to Melbourne for ABC Current Affairs.
Ron E Sparx has been given the boot from 2Day
FM for allegedly defacing a touch-screen monitor.
Following the departure of Ron Stanton to
Melbourne, Woody & Tash move from drive to fill Townsville
breakfast. Ron's co-host, Naomi Houston, moves to the 10-2 shift
and has also got the MD gig. Other big news for Nay is that she
duxed this year's FARB programming course. The drive gig at Townsville
has yet to be filled!
4MKFM in Mackay has decided not to renew the
contract of its long time serving Morning Announcer Rod Johnson
thus reducing its local programming hours to 4 per day. The morning
shift will now be produced and broadcast from their Townsville
Hub.
RG Capital has been performing some "musical
chairs", with Mal Lewis of Mix FM & Sea FM Townsville
now filling the PD shoes at Sea FM Sunshine Coast. He's been
replaced by Barry Keohane from Sea FM Mackay. The Sea Mackay
PD role is being filled by Chris Ivers, formerly MD at MMM Adelaide.
Derryn Hinch will not be returning to 3AK
Melbourne next year - he resigned after "contractual discussions".

Will Edwards from 4VL Charleville and 4DB
Dalby will be going "coastal" to join the team at 4KZ
and Kool FM in Innisfail.
Richard Allen, Programs Director from Deadly
Award winning station 2CUZ in Bourke (Indigenous Broadcaster
of the Year) is moving to Radio 6WR in Kununurra, Western Australia
to take the position as Programs Director, effective from the
10th December.
After spending 2 years skiing and drinking
in the wonderful ski resort of Mt.Buller... oh.... and doing
the breakfast show on 93.7 SunFM Mt. Buller, James Anderson is
off to join the on and off air team at The New Triple M, Melbourne.
He commences on the 8th of December.
Justin Smith, breakfast announcer was terminated
from DMG Albury on Friday 23/11 because they "decided to
change the direction of the station." A recent graduate
of the FARB PD's course, Justin can be contacted on 0405 499

James Musgrave has resigned from the position
of Promotions Manager for 2ST and POWERFM in Nowra to take up
the newly-created role of Promotions Manager for The River 105.7
in Albury. A recent graduate of the FARB ProgrammingCourse, James
is looking forward to the challenges and the opportunities of
working in a competitive market, and is delighted to be part
of the RG Capital network at last. "I think my biggest challenge
as a born and bred NSW boy will be getting my head around that
funny game of football that they follow down there!" he
says, "Can anyone tell me who this Wayne Carrey guy is?"
Townsville's MIX 106.3 has secured the services
of well-known local television personality Trevor Roberts as
the new co-host of the MIX 106.3 Breakfast show.
Dean Pickering has been appointed Assistant
Programme Director for MIX101.1 in Melbourne, while still retaining
his current position as Music Director.
Mikey Robins has been named as the replacement
for Andrew Denton on Sydney's Triple M for next year. Denton
finished on 23 November.
Chris Coleman has just finished up as PD at
2NM & Power FM Hunter Valley , to take up an executive producer's
position at ABC Dubbo, broadcasting to pretty well most of western
NSW sometime in the new year.
David "Higgo" Higgins is leaving
his role at 97.3 Coast FM as Hitlist announcer to take up a position
with Fox FM Melbourne. He will be doing mid dawns, and crosses
for Hot30.com starting January 7th 2002
Chris North has begun his commercial radio
career scoring the drive gig at MAX FM in Taree. Chris replaced
long serving breakfast host Ben Cullen. Hayden Else moved from
drive to breakfast.
Joshua Ruprecht has been filling in on afternoons at 2RE Taree
for the past 2 months but flies out to the USA on December 1st
to work as a snow maker for 4 months. Joshua is a local who has
been filling in while other staff have taken holidays.
AFTRS graduate Jessica Frangelli is off to
5CC/ Magic 89.9 Port Lincoln, SA to be an announcer/copywriter.
2PK/ROK FM's Promotions & Creative guru
Nikki Shultz is moving from Parkes, NSW back to the RG Capital
stable as Creative Writer for the Darling Downs Radio Centre
in Toowoomba, Q.
After a long search and listening to hours
of tapes a breakfast announcer has been appointed for 4MKFM Mackay.
Robert Kidd (Bear) is moving to Mackay. Bear was the drive announcer
/ Music Director and APD for the Heritage Group Queensland. His
place in the Townsville Hub has filled by Glen Minturn ex 5ADFM
Adelaide. For Glen it is a return to North Queensland as in the
mid 90's he was PD of HOTFM Townsville.
Kate Langbroek, Dave Hughes and anchor Dave
O'Neill have been named as Nova Melbourne's new breakfast team
when it launches December 3.
Graham Richardson will not return as 2GB Sydney
Drive presenter next year. This leaves the way clear for Philip
Clarke to be moved to Drive (if he agrees) and Alan Jones to
do breakfast (if he moves from 2UE) if current rumours come true.
Clive Robertson has been named as ABC Classic
FM's breakfast presenter for next year. He will also do fill-in
shifts for Radio National over summer.
Jodie Hill and Jo Stanley have been named
as FOX FM Melbourne's new morning presenters. The duo were previously
standup comics and have been doing a Saturday evening program
on FOX. They replace Barry Bissell and Brigitte Duclos.
In Sydney, 2DAY's Ron E Sparx has been moved
from mornings to afternoons and is replaced by Jason Sole.
After the succesfull on air restructure and
re-focus of 3BA FM and Power FM Ballarat, Mike Armstrong has
Resigned as Program Director to return home to NSW and join the
on air team at Sydney's Mix 106.5. Mike leaves 3BA FM / Power

After more then 2 years chasing the big issues
around the Central West of NSW for 2PK and ROK FM, journalist
Raegan Schofield has flown the coop and is leaving the industry.
Nova 100 Melbourne has announced Justin Wilcomes
as the sixth on-air appointment for the new station. With more
than seven years radio experience, Justin joins Nova 100 from
Tamworth's FM92.9, where he has been breakfast host for the past
year.
The Hills of the south coast are alive with
the sounds of AFTRS Graduate Mike Barry's commercials on 2EC
and Power FM Bega - Mike is also the arvo clown on Power.
Lyndon Smith has departed the Mix 104.9 Darwin
Music Director's position to
breakfast at 2GZFM Orange. Brett Williamson (PD) will fill the
MD role whilst training drive announcer/AMD Gerry Nyein. Replacing
Lyndon is ex-Switch FM announcer (in her first commercial gig)
Lisa Ridgely who starts December 3rd.
Corey Layton (Captain Turntable) has moved
from Nova Sydney to Nova Melbourne. Also joining Nova Melbourne
are Whippy (Brendan Dangar), Josh Kirby, Rebecca Maddern, Patrina
Jones, Carrier Bickmore and Kathy Jeffers.
Greg Worthington from Triple M Adelaide has
joined Perth's 92.9 as Promotions
and Marketing Director.
Chris Beckhouse from B105 has joined Perth's
92.9 doing afternoons.
Peter Wilkins and Phil Gould will leave 2GB
after the station signed Ray Hadley
and various members of 2UE's talking League team for next year's
football match calls.
Raward winning Journalist Leon Compton will
be leaving 1521QN and Classic Rock on the Victorian/New South
Wales Border on November 30th to take the Breakfast Program at
the ABC in Horsham.
Mike Rayson has been doing Saturday breaky
at Life FM in Adelaide, and the occasional weekend casual gig
at SAFM, but he's now off to 92.9 in Tamworth to take over breaky.
He 's also really pleased because the first single and title
track off his new Country Music album 'Brand New Day' is on the
Australian Country Tracks top 30 at number 28.
Following Corey Layton's departure from Nova
Sydney to Nova Melbourne, his Late Night slot will be filled
by Matt Thomas, who moves in from Mid-Dawns.
Ron Stanton, former APD of the Queensland
DMG hub is now MD of the new Nova Melbourne station. Details

AFTRS Graduate Tim Blackwell has moved from
DMG Albury to Nova Melbourne as part of the station's new team.
Steve Gray has recently resigned from Paradise
FM, Ballina NSW. He's ex sales
at the old Star FM in Ipswich, and 2LM Lismore. He can be contacted

AFTRS Graduate Michael Barry has gone to Power
FM Bega as a
copywriter/announcer.
Patrina Jones (Newman) is moving to DMG's
soon-to-open Melbourne FM after
six years with the ARN Melbourne news room.
Kim Beales from dmg's Northern Hub
(she does 10am-2pm on Hot FM) has accepted the position of StarFM
(Southern Hub) Drive Announcer. She will also be Assistant Music
Director.
Emily Hoskins is hitting the well-worn journalist's
trail from K-Rock to 3AW (the same route previously travelled
by Kelli Underwood and Kathy Koutzas in recent times). Emily's

Hill FM Drive Announcer and Production Manager,
Pat Gurry has left the station to take up a similar role at 3NE/Edge
FM at Wangaratta, at this stage he will not be replaced.
The 2Day FM Production Team, winners of the
2001 RAWARD for Best Achievement in Production: Metro, welcomes
on board Andy Young as their new Commercial Producer. Andy moves
to Sydney's highest rating station from DMG's Albury hub where
he has been "churning out" those promos for stations
from Albury to Coffs Harbour and everywhere in between.
Jarrod Graetz, Announcer with Fox FM has accepted
a position as the Assistant Music Director and Phatt 30 Announcer
with the number 1 English speaking speaking station in Dubai
U.A.E.- Channel 4FM. His last day at Fox is November 2nd before
flying out on November 11.
Kevin Mulcahy has taken the reins of the breakfast
show on Adelaide's Mix102.3 (Formerly 5AD) with Jana Heyer. Since
the demise of the Barry Ion Breakfast show on 5AA last year,
which he anchored, he has been floating between the two ARN stations
- doing music shifts on Mix102.3 and talkback on 5DN.
Kevin also tells us that with David Day (ex-SAFM, Triple M and
owner of OzRadio.com) and Channel 10's Mark Aiston, they have
been running the Media Training Centre (mediatrainingcentre.com.au)
and in the last 12 months have placed about 30 people in radio.

David Wright has replaced Solomon Gates as
the afternoon/drive announcer at Sydneys MIX 106.5
Colin McGinness, former producer with MCM
entertainment and the RG Capital Group (Gosford), is now the
Network Production Manager for the UKRD group in the UK. He is
based in Bristol.
Phil Gray, PD at Sea FM Sunshine Coast has
resigned to take up the position of PD for Voice International,
the new Christian multi-lingual stations which will be broadcasting
into Asia. Phil will be in charge of the 8 new on-air studios
and 3 new production studios, again on the Sunshine Coast.
Michelle Murphy, previously Announcer/ Assistant
Music Director at SAFM in Adelaide, has been working at Heart
106.2 in London (with Jonothan Coleman), as the Daytime Producer.
She is now starting her new role as fulltime overnight presenter
for Heart.
Since leaving dmg's Southern Hub, Jo
King has been working with Austereo at their Newcastle stations,
KO FM & NX FM. (And loving it!)
Susie T. (Thalbourne) has left Southern New
South Wales and Northern Victoria's Classic Rock 102.5 &
88.5 after 3 and 1/2 years. The River Rat "Queen" is
returning to Adelaide. A replacement will be announced shortly.
Phil "The Bulldog" McCosker has
been promoted from Drive and MD at CFM Toowoomba to Morning Crew
Anchor at 100.7 Sea FM Townsville.
Joshua Ruprecht has commenced 8 weeks on air
at Taree's 2RE, as a fill in for Kevin Rayment (holidays). He
is a local boy who began 5 years ago at community radio station
2GLA (Great Lakes FM) in Forster.
4ZR has just hired a new Breakfast announcer,
Terry Luxton... he's quit his job driving a taxi on the Gold
Coast on Thursday afternoon and arrived in Roma on Sunday...
the staff look forward showing him around without the meter running!

September 2001
Just a note to advise that Melanie Keding
has moved from 96.1 the Heat at Noosa to take on the promotions
role at 2NM & Power FM in the Hunter Valley. Mel will also
be doing mornings on Power FM.
Dave Williams FOX FM Melbourne Assistant Music
Director and floater is now on Drive at FOX. A replacement for
Barry Bissell hasn't been announced yet. Assistant Program Director
Craig Bruce is currently doing mornings.
Jake Challenor, most recently Hitz FM Bundaberg,
is now doing casual shifts on the Carallis FM network based in
Sydney.
Dwayne Jeffries has been made redundant from
the "new-look" WS-FM Sydney. The position has been
"re-structured" so the WS PD will also run 96.1. Dwayne
finishes up on October 26.... with the new joint PD announced
as Graham Edwards from TRN New Zealand. In other moves, WS general
sales manager Brian Blacklock has moved to head up agency sales
for ARN's Sydney stations in the North Sydney Office, Brian Wybrow
(Mix General Sales manager) has taken the position of Sydney
Market local sales manager overseeing Mix, WS and 96.1.
In more moves at ARN stations, APD and long-time
employee for Mix Adelaide Mark Elliston has also been made redundant.
Geoff Daniels moves from DMG's Albury based
Star stations , down the corridor and onto the Heritage stream
effective October 8 . He'll be the new afternoon presenter. Geoff
has been based in Albury since the Hub commenced in May 2000
as the brekky guy on Star FM Young (based inAlbury) and as Star
floater and Weekend Warrior and is very excited about his new
role. Beckett Henry steps in as the new full time Star Young
brekky host.
Tony Mac (ex TT/FOX/B105/HOT CAIRNS) Has taken
on the role as PD for ONE FM Shepparton. After moving back home
to concentrate on his Message On Hold Company he decided to move
back into radio. One FM Re-launches Oct 1 This time with a music

from the River to manage he and his brother (Queensland and NZ

Louise Saunders has left RG Capital's TTT
and Magic 107 in Hobart, where she was reading the news since
January 2000, to go to 936 ABC Hobart, where she is now presenting
the Drive Program.
Freelance producer, writer and voice artist
Mike Goodman has just completed almost four months relief production
at Sydney's MIX 106.5. The station's Production Manager Gregg
Sinclair has been out of action due to a back problem. Mike could
be back at the station soon filling in while one of the writers

2MC/Star GM Ashley Myatt is moving to 4CA
and Hot FM Cairns to be the new GM! Star FM PD and Account Executive
Mike Crowhurst has been promoted to GM of 2MC FM and Star FM

One of the founder on-air voices of Melbourne's
FOX, Barry Bissell, has quit, but will continue to do the syndicated
"Take 40 Australia" for austereo mcm entertainment.
Recent Raward winner Jade Ficarra is leaving
3SH/Mixx FM Swan Hill for the warmer climes of Noosa, taking
up the Copy/Announcing position with The Heat.
Just for your info, two washed up, old, has-been
jocks are testing the water as a duo on City FM 90.7, Melbourne,
Saturday afternoons under the nicknames 'Boosie & The Lizard'.
They sound strikingly like Sandy Beech & Major Tom (both
ex-Gold FM) Real names - Ivor Rufus & Jon Davis!!
RHYTHM FM have announced the resignation of
TIM BYRNE. After 19 months as Rhythm FM's Station Manager and
Program Director, Tim Byrne is leaving the organization to focus
his efforts on KISS FM (Melbourne). PHILIP LEAHY, who is Rhythm
FM's Business Affairs Director, has assumed the role of Station
Manager and the position of Program Director has been filled
by DAMIEN GOUNDRIE, who is also Rhythm FM's Music Director.
Simon Scoble who is currently the week nights
producer at 4BC in Brisbane is moving on - 2 doors down - to
the newsroom. He fills the vacancy left by Kristen Smith. His
replacement is Kylie Thompson who is a producer at WIN Television
in Rockhampton.
Adam Campbell has resigned from his position
as Business Development Manager at 2MBS FM Sydney
Darwin's Hot100 and Mix104.9 Creative Director
Che Gadenne is on the move to StarFm Ipswich. After 2 and a half
years in the Top End it's time to depart, when you start wearing
stubbies out on the town and think they look good you've been
in the Territory way too long. Same job, cooler climate.
Richard Clarke from ZZZ Lismore has moved
to HOT FM Darwin.
Bruce McAvaney has added radio calling to
his TV commitments and will be heard on ABC 774 Melbourne's football
calling team.

2MMM breakfast after six months maternity leave following the
birth of her son Liam. Mick Molloy replaced Keller while she
was on leave.
Luke Boland has been appointed breakfast show
technical producer at 92.9FM Perth.

has joined the newsroom at C91.3 Campbelltown.
Brenden Tacey has moved from his position
as imaging producer at SAFM to

AFTRS Radio Course Graduate Ben Bamford has
accepted a position as afternoon announcer at 2LF Young. He begins
on 17 September replacing Andrew Clerihew.
Andrew Clerihew will move from 2LF Young to
take up the position of Program Director at Classic Hits 5CC/Magic
FM 89.9 Port Lincoln on Monday September 24.

is moving to Mudgee as Drive presenter at 2MG.

Dave Peters joins Power FM Bega - he's worked
in a variety of entertainment areas and has a radio background
via HITZ/WILD FM, 2NZ/GEM FM, 2SM, 2000 FM and AMFM SYNDICATIONS.
Dave starts on September 17, but will still be keeping up with
his Sydney commitments including nightclubs and TV projects.
Trevor Taege, formerly MusicDirector/Drive
Annoucer with Hitz FM Bundaberg has been appointed as the News
Director for 96.1FM The Heat and 4GY, effective immediately.
Some changes in Karratha - Katrina Mason left
in August to take up breakfast co-host in Mandurah at Coast FM.
Wayne Cant resigned to move out of radio for the time being.
Darren Prior has taken a redundancy from the
Heritage Stream at dmg's Southern Hub. Jo King has resigned
for personal reasons from the Network, after being with the Hub
since its beginning in May 2000. General Sales Manager Steven
Cox has also announced his resignation.
August 2001
New talent Daniel Norton from Adelaide has
taken on the position of drive-time radio announcer at 93.1 Magic
FM in the Riverland South Australia.
Melanie Lindquist has been appointed to Promotions
& Marketing Director for ARN Stations, MIX106.5, WS-FM &
9inety6ix.1. She was most recently the PMD for WS-FM.
Jason Staveley from FOX FM has accepted the
position of PD of UKRD's 3 stations in Bristol (UK). Jason has
been with Austereo for over 10 years and has spent his most recent
time as anchor of the Breakfast Show. A replacement will be announced
soon.
Wayne McClean APD/MD of 9inety6ix.1 in Sydney's
West has resigned and will finish on the 12th of September. He's
taking up a position at Perth's 96FM to do Mornings and Assistant
Music Director.
Andrew Very is moving on from his job as night
producer at 2MMM Sydney. He moves to Triple M Melbourne where
he will do weekends on-air and take up the position of assistant
music director. He starts on September 24.
Adam Straney from Power FM Bega moves to Power
FM 94.9 Nowra to present the breakfast show.
Paul Latter, former producer of Clive Robertson's
Breakfast Program on 2SM 1269 is now working for the Australian
Traffic Network as a traffic reporter in Sydney.
Some changes at 5CC/Magic FM in Port Lincoln:
Operations Co-ordinator Peter Gowers has accepted a position
as the Program Controller with Channel 4 FM in Dubai. It is the
top rating English speaking station in U.A.E. He finished in
Port Lincoln on Friday August 24th. His replacement will be announced

After 12 months in the saddle Richard Clarke
Program Director for 2LM/2ZZZ FM Lismore is off to wrestle crocs
in the Northern Territory and break the
Hot 100 FM record for the most amount of Darwin Stubbies drunk
in one sitting. He will be sadly missed by the staff of 2LM/2ZZZ
and a replacement
has not been named at this stage.
The AFTRS Radio class of '96 may be interested
to hear that Robert & Marilyn Kidd welcomed their first son
into the world on Monday August 13. Jordan was 9 pound 3 at birth.
The Kidds are located at DMG's Townsville hub.
After 2 hard years at the helm Peter Tozer
is leaving 4K1G in sunny Townsville for the Station Managers
job at 2MCE Bathurst. Good luck Peter from all the staff and
volunteers at 4K1G.
Don Mayo is no longer with Power FM Nowra,
the original & other half of the long running Bacon Boys
theme - Pete Brandtman is covering the Breakfast shift solo until
a new team is ready to go on air. Gary Mitchell, PD at Power,
says a postition will be created for Pete on sister station 2ST
in the near future.
Perth's Academy of Radio is pleased to announce

Academy of Radio and had been working for WA mining station Red
FM.
After 15 exceptional months as late nights
announcer/floater at SAFM Adelaide, Filippa has moved back to
Sydney. If you'd like her to do the odd voice-over, you can contact

April Centauri returns from Cooma as a floater, and Jaymz Stevens
has taken on the Thursday and Friday night presenter duties.
Jaymz is another of Gary Mac's students from the Melbourne Radio
School.
Mike Byrne, Group PD for KOFM & NXFM Newcastle
is heading to Brisbane to take over the reins at B105 after Grant
Tothill's move to Perth. Mike won't be replaced in his position:
APDs Mike Taaffe (KOFM) & Mike Duncan (NXFM) will take over
as PDs of their respective stations. In related news, Garth Russell
of the "Garth & Steve" breakfast team on NX leaves
on the 17th of August. The new NXFM morning crew will include
regular guest Kim Bauer & another, yet-to-be-named member.
Megan Tucker has been appointed to the position
of Account Manager at RRB Sydney.
Barry Melville has been appointed the new
General Manager of the CBAA, replacing Mike Thompson who died
recently. Barry previously worked in an executive position at
the CBAA and before that at the ABA.
Not really a movement, but Richard Spears
(ex 4KQ) would like to let his Aussie friends know that after
3 years as Imaging Producer at Virgin Radio London, he's now
been made Head of Production.
Brad McNally has left his job as PD at 92.9
FM in Perth. He will be replaced by
Grant Tothill from B105 Brisbane.
Michael Golikov from Sydney has landed a job
at 4LG / West FM Longreach. This is his first commercial radio
gig.
2BH has installed a new more powerful transmitter
to provide a better service to the Outback of NSW, also now taking
2UE Talk programs at night with Andrew Harwood, and New Day Australia
with John Kerr, previously middawn was wall to wall music. Hill
FM night announcer Brenton Thompson has left the station, a replacement
is yet to be announced.
Program Director of CFM Toowoomba & Darling
Downs Wil Brakels has been promoted to Programme Director of
RG Capital's Darling Downs Radio Centre. Brakels will be overseeing
the Programming of 100.7 CFM Toowoomba, 97.5 CFM Dalby, 91.9
C Fm Warwick plus Heritage Station 4GR as well as Narrowcaster
Toowoomba Country 91.5 Fm. Ex-4GR Announcer Graham Healy returns
to radio after 2 terms in State politics. He will be on-air Monday
to Friday Noon till 2:00pm with a locally skewed programme following
John Laws.
Anthony Frangi has left the night shift at
4BC. In his last program he got married live on air. Frangi will
be replaced by Ian Maurice.
Clive Robertson has been axed from 2SM, effective
immediately. Producer Paul Latter has also left the station.
John Bain has added Star FM Port Macquarie's
morning program (9am to 10am) to his other duties at Star and
2MC.
Stephen Notley will be taking up the Financial
Accountant's position at Sunshine Coast Radio - he starts Monday
6th August.

2ST / Power FM traffic department hum!
After 3 years, Dan Leslie (former 96fm Perth
Breakfast Producer and panel operator for "Redman and Kay"),
has headed East and taken up a position as Network Producer with
RG Capital Radio / Sea Fm Gold Coast. Dan replaces Paul Siedel.
Jason Morrison has resigned from 2SM to take
up the position of Chief of Staff, Channel Ten News, Sydney.
3WM/ Mixx FM Horsham have appointed Andrew
Newell from 2WG/Star FM Wagga Wagga as their new Sales Manager.
Former 3AK staffer Arthur Higgins has scored
a position at Sport 927AM doing
the midnight to dawn shift

Michelle Firth who was the Music Director for the CQFM Country
Music Network has left the station to take up full time university
studies in Brisbane. Trevor Taege who was Music Director for
HITZ-FM has left the station as well. Program Manager Garry Beattie
has upgraded 4BU Music Director Paul Egan to the role of Assistant
Program Manager.
After 18 months with the North West Radio
Network and WAFM in Karratha WA, Damien Fisher has decided to
move on to greener pastures. He and his fiance leave Karratha
on August 25th 2001 bound for Deniliquin.
Andrew Harwood has replaced Murray Wilton
and Murray Olds on 2UE evenings (and Sky network stations).
Ian Craven has left 2UE News to join SKY TV
news.
Michael Tunn and John Beeby have swapped shifts
in Adelaide. Tunn moves from his Triple M shift to SAFM and Beeby
has moved across from SAFM to fill Tunn's 5MMM shift.
Dale Daniels has been appointed Market Manager
for ARN's three Sydney stations
MIX, WSFM and 96.1.
Gavan Wood has replaced Arthur Higgins on
3AK's evening shift.
Mike Hendry takes up the Sunday morning newsroom
duties at Informatel On Line, taking over from Steve Pearce who
has moved very quickly on to 3AK. Mike is the former voice of
the International Motor Show FM station, and has just completed
a course with Gary Mac's Melbourne Radio School.
3BA & Power FM Ballarat have appointed
Kerrie Mouthaan from 5RM Berri as their Journalist/ Newsreader.
Kerrie has been working for 5RM for about a year and will start
in Ballarat at the end of the month.
96.5 Geraldton drive announcer Mel O'Brien
has resigned to take up a position outside radio. 98FM Geraldton
night announcer Heidi Unsworth will move into the shift.
Mick Spooner has shifted from Brisbane to
Sydney, to take up the position of Radio Promo Producer for 702
ABC Sydney. His successor in Brisbane is Troy McInnes, who decided
he preferred the balmy breezes of Brisbane to the clammy chill
of Melbourne.
2NZ Inverell has hired John Daskey for their
drive-time gig. John comes from community radio in Narrabri and
this is his first foray into the commercial world.
MIX FM (5AD FM) Program Director Richard Winter
has been axed from his job, as part of the continuing reorganisation
at ARN. His replacement is Allan Cameron, formerly PD at 9inety6ix.1.
Nova 96.9 in Sydney has announced a major
executive appointment of Scott Muller as program director. Dean
Buchanan, group program director for DMG Radio Australia, will
now divide his time between Nova 96.9 in Sydney and preparations
for DMG's new radio station in Melbourne.
2MG breakfast announcer Craig 'Sparks' Blomeley
has resigned and moved back to Ballarat. Craig Bassett moves
from drive to breakfast, with Nick Lowther to return from 5CC
to take over drive.
Jason Walkerden, drive jock at the all new
92.9 in Perth has been made APD, Simon Mountain (former APD)
is now concentrating on music.
Paul Richards has left the 2UE Newsroom and
is now working for David Koch's My Money Group. Anthony Clarke
is his replacement at 2UE. Richards is now based at Channel Seven
where he does finance reports for 2GB, reports for Sky News and
2HD, and TV finance segments for Ansett News and Seven.
Pete Diskon has been appointed Station Manager
of CHY-FM,Pete will also
continue in his role as Program Manager and Student Trainer".
Pete replaces
Bob Harding who is relocating to the Sunshine Coast.
