BUYS A PROPERTY

William's second son, (William Jnr.) used his share of the sale of the mines to purchase a property called "Willie Ploma" at South Gundagai where he spent the rest of his life engaged in grazing pursuits.

FAMILY

William Joseph Williams (Jnr.) was born on 18 July 1845 at Campbelltown. He married Jane Hindon on 7 April 1872 at the Catholic Church in Adelong. The Adelong_ChurchPD.jpg (23150 bytes) witnesses at the wedding were William Hindon and Caroline Williams.

Jane Hindon was born in 1850 at Gundaroo, New South Wales. Her father was William, a miner. Jane had been living with her parents at Adelong at the time of her marriage.

Both of the children were born a t the family home "Willie Ploma'', South Gundagai.

Jane was very ill after the birth of Edward John and she died the following year on 28 April 1877 and was buried at Adelong Cemetery.

William (Jnr.) then married Ellen Mary Riley at Tumut and they had 4 children: -

WILLIAM (Jnr.) DIES

William (Jnr.) died on 15 July 1893 at his home, "Willie Ploma'' after a bout of pneumonia. He was buried in the Adelong Cemetery on 17 July.
