Career Snap Shot
Tanya Harding is one of Australia’s most experienced players having represented Australia 262 times, including all three Olympic Games (1996, 2000 and 2004) and four World Championships (1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006).
Harding debuted for Australia in 1993 and has represented her State, Queensland since Under 16 level in 1986. She has won numerous awards including the Most Valuable Player of the final round and Overall Most Valuable Player in the 2004 Grand Prix Series.
Prior to Sydney Olympics, Harding was regarded as one of the best pitchers in the world and has been a member of the Australian Institute of Sport squad since 1994.
Harding also spent time at UCLA during which she won the NCAA MVP award and the Japanese paid a hefty price to have her play in their league.
