“Striped Marlin: Biology and Fisheries” provides fisheries managers and policy makers with a comprehensive information base upon which to make management decisions pertaining to striped marlin. The report represents the first comprehensive review of information pertaining to this species, and includes sections on the biology and ecology of the striped marlin, its status in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, domestic catch histories for both recreational and commercial sectors, as well as a review of the management of marlin domestically and around the world. The report also presents preliminary analyses of the nature and extent of the interaction between commercial and recreational fisheries off Australias east coast, as well as analyses of striped marlin catch rates.
