The electorate of Grey will receive $51,430 from the latest round of the Commonwealth Government’s Regional Arts Fund. In total, $105,705 went to 13 projects benefiting more than 40 communities across South Australia.

‘We are fortunate to have such a rich and vibrant cultural life in regional South Australia and I am delighted to see such worthwhile and creative projects coming out of our local community,’ Barry Wakelin, Member for Grey said.

D Faces of Youth Arts in Whyalla will receive $4,000. ‘Massive Art’ is a collaboration between  D'Faces of Youth Arts and the Students Under Mentors Pilot Scheme (STUMPS) where young participants will take part in aerosol art workshops with artist James Cochran (a.k.a. Jimmy C).

Emma Trenberth of Tumby Bay will receive $2,130 to further develop her mentorship, with local Eyre Peninsula professional artists Siv Grava and John Turpie providing an opportunity for Emma to learn skills to develop a portfolio and improve her ability to continue with her professional career.
