HOPE concert to raise tsunami aid funds

The organiser of a fundraiser to help Asian tsunami victims says he hopes Northern Territory residents are not suffering from donor fatigue and will support his event on Saturday.

Tom Pryce says the Help Other People Eat (HOPE) concert will be held at Darwin's Italian Club.

It will feature Administrator Ted Egan as MC, local bands and dancing from cultural groups.

Entry is through a gold coin donation and all proceeds from the door and bar will go to the Red Cross.

Mr Pryce says he hopes Territorians will continue to dig deep.

"I would invite all people... to consider what you're going to spend your disposable income on for the next fortnight," he said.

"Can you do without the dry cleaning, can you do without the CD or the DVD, can you miss one payment on your credit card?

"If you can come to the gig that night and spend it there."
