Yarra Melbourne Regional Library ServiceThe City of Melbourne has three public libraries - North Melbourne, East Melbourne and the City Library. North Melbourne and East Melbourne libraries belong to the Yarra Membership to the Yarra-Melbourne Regional Library service provides access to all public branches. Visit its website at www.ymrl.org.au for information about the libraries and online services such as joining online, searching the catalogue, renewing items, placing reservations and access to a range of online resources. Both the East Melbourne and the North Melbourne libraries have an extensive range of materials for people of all ages and interests. Large print books for the sight-impaired are also available. The libraries also hold newspapers and periodicals, local history collections, non-English speaking materials and audio visual materials, including collections of talking books. Both libraries offer public access to the Internet, word processing facilities, school holiday activities, community information databases, and other services. Membership is free and available to everyone.
