SA Liberal Party site had the following biography on its website before the 2006 election:

Isobel Redmond ran her own general legal practice prior to entering parliament in 2002. She has had a long involvement in community and social justice issues, serving on numerous local and state boards and committees including Stirling Districts Hospital, Stirling Rotary Club, Road Safety Advisory Council and S.A Ambulance Board. Isobel enjoys gardening, walking and reading in her limited free time.

HEYSEN

Area: approx. 906.5km2

Location: An outer metropolitan hills seat to the east and south-east of Adelaide which includes residential suburbs in addition to market gardening and farming areas. Subject to some boundary alterations at the 2003 redistribution.

History: Created at the 1969 redistribution, it was abolished at the next redistribution in 1976 but revived in 1983.
