I saw Noel Gallagher perform at the Enmore Theatre last night. He was in semi-acoustic mode, backed by Gem Archer on guitars and Terry Kirkbride on persussion.
Back in school i was rather obsessed with Oasis, well their first two albums. I kind of lost interest after that. So it was a treat to see Noel performing some of those classics. Cast No Shadow, Wonderwall, Slide Away, Don't Look Back in Anger, Married With Children...
To be honest i didn't even miss Liam. Noel's got a lovely voice and he writes all the songs and performs them splendidly. He's also a funny bugger, throwing out quips and heckling the audience.
Sean was at the show too.

Great photos as always Dan..
I used to be pretty into Oasis too, and like a lot of people really lost a lot of interest after their 2nd album..
Did you use any NR on those photos or is his face actually that smooth?

Dan that black and white shot looks amazing! (That one there - and there's a fabulous old Wolfmother one of yours, black and white too - my favourites!)

Nice work as ever! I'm so jealous, had a friend supposed to be sorting tickets for me but it didn't work out so I'm gutted I missed it. Damn. I had all the (early) cd singles with all the classic b sides my mum gave them to a charity shop along with 100 other prized records, which was great!

hi dan, doubt you remember, but i met you at newcastle music week, i was talking to bettina allen during paula jones' workshop.
anyway, i saw you down the front last night and was so excited because i knew you'd take some great pics that i could look at. i couldn't get anything decent from where i was sitting - plus i'm always checking in with what you're up to anyway, so this was definatly a bonus. great work as usual :)
