Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC)

If you want to apply for a course you usually apply through VTAC. VTAC will send your filled out course Application Form on to the TAFE or university of your choice.

VTAC produces the VTAC Guide every year online for you to download. It provides important information on all general undergraduate courses available through TAFE and university in Victoria. It also provides information on how to apply for a course.

What are undergraduate courses?

Undergraduate courses include Bachelor degrees, Advanced Diplomas, Diplomas and Certificate 4:

  • Bachelor Degrees generally require a minimum of three to four years' full-time study.
  • Advanced Diplomas generally require at least two years' full-time study.
  • Diplomas generally require two years full-time study.
  • Certificate 4 courses generally require one year full-time study and can be (but not always) the first year qualification of a Diploma.

The VTAC Guide is also available at schools, libraries, career centres and Centrelink, and for sale at newsagents.
