Logging On and Off

Logging on

  • All PANDAS users must log on before using the archiving system. To do this they require a Username and a Password. The Agency Adminisrator or the PANDAS administrator can set up the user account. There are some conventions that need to be followed especially in regard to hyphenated or compound names and names that include articles or preposition (e.g. de, van). Please contact the PANDAS Adminstrator for advice in setting up such names. The first time when the new user logs on to PANDAS they will be asked to change their password following the conventions indicated below.

Log On Screen

  • After logging on for the first time, you should change your password by selecting My Settings from the Main Menu.
  • Change and verify your new password in the specified fields. The password must be at least 6 characters and include one number. The password can have a maximum of 25 characters. E.g min3rva
  • Click Close to return to the Main Menu.

Logging off

  • It is preferable and good practice to log off PANDAS when you have finished working on the system of if you do not intend using the system for a while. If you remain inactive in a session for a period of time, you will be automatically timed out.
  • The Log Off button is located at the top left hand corner of the PANDAS Title Bar. After clicking Log Off, you will be asked for to confirm that you wish to log off. Finally a screen will display saying you are logged off and allowing you to either re-enter PANDAS or link to the PANDORA Homepage.
