Logging On and Off

Logging on

  • All staff using PANDAS must log on. You will require a Username and Password, which will be set initially by PANDORA administrators at the National Library.
Log On Screen
  • After logging on for the first time, you should change your password by selecting Users (under Administration) from the Main Menu.
  • Select your logon name from the drop-down menu (Modify User) and click Edit.
  • Change and verify your new password in the specified fields. The password can have a maximum of 10 characters - all keyboard characters are valid.
  • Click Finish (twice to return to the Main Menu).
  • If you do not wish to change any details, click Cancel.

Logging off

  • It is preferable and good practice to log off PANDAS when you have finished working on the system. If you remain inactive in a session for a period of time, you will be timed out.
  • The Log Off button is located at the top left hand corner of the Main Menu, all search screens and all view screens. You cannot log off while in edit mode. After clicking Log Off, you will be asked for confirmation of your actions.
